Illegal activity was suppressed in Andijan: a local resident organized a mining farm right in his own home, connecting five sets of equipment to the power grid without permission. The total damage amounted to 438.7 million soums, the press service of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office reported.
Operatives of the Andijan Regional Department, together with other law enforcement agencies, inspected a house in the MSG "Pistamozor", where they discovered the illegal farm.
A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of electricity theft and illegal mining under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. Investigative activities are ongoing.
