Uzbekistan Airways is temporarily suspending the transportation of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia under the Umrah program. The restriction applies to all flights on the Tashkent — Jeddah — Tashkent route and is valid until further notice from the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan.
The official statement clarifies that the corresponding instruction applies to all airlines in the country. The transportation of pilgrims is suspended until further notice from the regulator.
At the same time, special repatriation flights are being organized from Jeddah to Tashkent starting from March 2. Their purpose is to ensure the safe and orderly return of citizens of Uzbekistan already in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
