Uzbekistan Airports and Malaysia Airlines' cargo division, MASkargo, have agreed to collaborate on servicing cargo flights at Uzbekistan's airports. During the initial meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of regular flights and the expansion of logistics routes through Tashkent International Airport.
The first flight with a technical stop in Tashkent already took place on March 9, 2026, on the Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent – Amsterdam route. MASkargo provides international and regional cargo transportation to over 100 cities, with the company's main hub located in Kuala Lumpur.
The collaboration opens up new opportunities for transit transportation through Uzbekistan, strengthening Tashkent's role as a regional aviation and logistics center. The expansion of cargo routes is expected to increase the country's attractiveness for international trade and transportation companies.
