Xalq Bank of Uzbekistan and Mastercard have signed a strategic cooperation agreement, under which they plan to introduce an AI-based credit scoring system and launch a new card product, Xalq Card, in the country. The document was signed on the sidelines of the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank.

One of the main projects will be the issuance of Xalq Cards, aimed at personalized customer service. The bank stated that the product's creation takes into account international experience, the specifics of the Uzbekistan market, and the daily needs of users. The card is intended to become not just a payment instrument, but part of a full-fledged digital financial ecosystem.

The second direction will be the implementation of an AI-powered lending system. Artificial intelligence will be able to automatically analyze applications and make preliminary decisions in just a few seconds, minimizing the human factor. The bank believes this will accelerate loan issuance, improve the accuracy of borrower assessment, and make financial services more accessible and transparent for the population.
