In Uzbekistan, a meeting was held between the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and the Ambassador of Germany, Manfred Huterer. The parties discussed expanding trade, economic, investment, and technological cooperation, emphasizing that Germany remains one of the republic's key European partners. Special attention was paid to strengthening business ties and developing joint initiatives between business communities.
It was noted that by the end of 2025, trade turnover between the countries increased by 13.2% and reached 1.4 billion US dollars. Currently, 233 enterprises with German capital operate in Uzbekistan, reflecting sustained investor interest and the gradual deepening of industrial cooperation. The parties also discussed the current dynamics of joint projects and the potential for new investments in key sectors.
Additionally, the results of the German-Uzbek Business Council and the "German Economy Day," held on May 18, were summarized. These events have already contributed to new agreements between companies from both countries. Ahead are new meetings within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which could become a platform for launching another wave of joint projects and expanding long-term cooperation.
