Entrepreneurial activity continues to grow in Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistics Committee, as of July 1, 2026, there were an average of 32 business entities per thousand inhabitants in the country.
The highest level was recorded in Tashkent, where the figure reached 50 entrepreneurs per thousand people. Among the regions, Khorezm Region also stands out with 46 business entities per thousand inhabitants, Sirdaryo Region with 41, and Navoiy Region with 38. In Jizzakh and Bukhara Regions, the figure was 35 entrepreneurs.
Lower values were recorded in a number of regions of the country. In Fergana and Samarkand Regions, there are 27 entrepreneurs per thousand inhabitants, and in Kashkadarya and Namangan Regions, there are 26. The minimum figure was in Surkhandarya Region, where 24 business entities per thousand people were registered. All data are rounded.
