Foreign providers of digital services have significantly increased tax payments in Uzbekistan. In the first six months of 2026, foreign companies transferred 143.8 billion soums to the budget, which is 84% more than in the same period last year.

The growth is associated with an increase in the volume of electronic services provided. From January to June, their value reached 1.2 trillion soums, compared to 656.8 billion soums a year earlier. At the same time, the number of foreign companies registered in Uzbekistan as taxpayers increased from 72 to 97.

The largest payers were Apple with 33.6 billion soums, Google with 33.3 billion soums, and Meta* with 29.9 billion soums. The top ten also included Valve, Anthropic, OpenAI, Midasbuy, Booking.com, TikTok, and Anysphere. OpenAI notably increased its payments from 2.9 billion to 5.6 billion soums, while Google and Apple each raised their deductions by more than 10 billion soums.
