Belarus and Uzbekistan plan to expand cooperation in several areas, including medicine, tourism, information technology, education, and industrial cooperation.

The prospects for developing bilateral ties were discussed by Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, and Nuriddin Mamajonov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belarus. The parties considered opportunities to increase trade and economic cooperation and implement new joint initiatives.

Industrial cooperation became one of the key areas. Belarus proposed developing cooperation in woodworking and furniture production, noting the high level of these industries and the interest in Belarusian products in the Uzbek market.

The countries also intend to expand cooperation in healthcare. Belarus is ready to help Uzbek partners establish contacts with manufacturers of medical equipment and specialized machinery.

Special attention was paid to education, IT development, and scientific projects. In addition, the parties discussed improving transport links between the states, including increasing the number of flights to support tourism and business contacts.

An additional element of cooperation was the opening of the Trade House of Uzbekistan in Minsk, which should promote the products of Uzbek companies and strengthen business ties between the countries.
