Kazakhstani airline FlyArystan has launched regular flights between Almaty and Urgench. Flights will be operated twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays, and the flight duration will be about 2 hours and 35 minutes. The new route is expected to make Khorezm more accessible for tourists from Kazakhstan and increase mutual tourist flow.

Representatives of 10 Kazakhstani travel companies arrived in the region on the first flight. A three-day informational tour was organized for them, including B2B meetings and a workshop with local tour operators. Guests will be able to get acquainted with the historical and cultural attractions of Khorezm and evaluate the tourism potential of the region.

The organizers expect that the new route will help promote Khorezm more actively in the tourism market of Kazakhstan. Direct air communication should also simplify cooperation between travel companies of the two countries and create new conditions for the growth of international tourism in the region.
