Fergana Region is expanding cooperation with Japan's Mitsui & Co., Ltd., focusing on the introduction of advanced technologies. At a meeting between the regional khokim Khayrullo Bozorov and a company delegation, new investment projects were discussed that could combine Japanese technological solutions and the region's production capabilities. Mitsui has been operating in Uzbekistan since 1993 and is already involved in projects in energy, transport, infrastructure, chemical industry, and digital technologies.

New areas include modern water supply systems, processing of fruits and vegetables, the oil industry, and infrastructure. Special attention is paid to digital technologies and education: Fergana Region is already implementing Japanese approaches to training and specialist preparation. Such an exchange of experience is considered one of the tools to accelerate the region's technological development.

Mitsui may also participate in projects in tourism and other promising areas. The parties agreed to actively promote joint initiatives and expand contacts between the regions. For Fergana Region, cooperation with the Japanese corporation is an opportunity to attract not only investments but also modern technologies, engineering solutions, and international experience.
