In January–August 2026, Uzbekistan produced 9.1 billion kWh of electricity from renewable sources. For comparison, for the entire year 2022, the figure was 434 million kWh. The development of the industry over the past four years has saved more than 6.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas and prevented the emission of over 14.5 million tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

The expansion of green energy is accompanied by attracting foreign investments, digitalization, and modernization of the fuel and energy complex. One of the areas of support remains the "Solar Home" program: since 2021, the state has been buying surplus electricity generated by household solar panels.

In 2024, more than 10 thousand citizens received compensation for electricity supplied to the grid, totaling 12.1 million soums. From January to June 2026, the number of program participants approached 70 thousand, and the total amount of transfers reached 330.8 billion soums.
