Uzbekistan intends to reduce the cost of building materials by introducing artificial intelligence technologies and automated control systems. According to authorities, the use of AI will reduce production costs by 5-10%. These measures were presented on November 20 at a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, where the digitalization of the industry was discussed.
To stimulate technological modernization, 100 billion soums will be allocated to enterprises implementing digital solutions over 2 years. A separate emphasis is placed on increasing energy efficiency: an energy audit of 34 productions has already shown a reduction in fuel consumption, which confirms the economic effect of the implemented solutions.
In addition, goals have been set to increase the share of energy-saving building materials to 25% next year and to 35% by 2030. From 2026, 30 billion soums will be allocated to scientific developments in this area. These steps are linked to large-scale plans for the development of housing construction, including a twofold increase in annual housing commissioning and a sharp expansion of mortgage lending.
