The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) and the Committee for Tourism of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism.

The parties intend to use the capabilities of trade union organizations to form organized tourist flows between Russia and Uzbekistan. In particular, it is planned to develop special tourist offers for trade union members and their families.

The main directions will be family and children's recreation, sanatorium-resort and medical trips, as well as cultural and educational tourism. The sanatorium-resort association of the FNPR, "Profkurort," will be responsible for organizing trips from the Russian side.

Andrey Titov, Deputy Chairman of the FNPR, noted that cooperation should provide workers, youth, and labor veterans with additional opportunities for quality recreation, health improvement, and cultural development.

According to him, Russia and Uzbekistan have significant potential in the field of family and sanatorium-resort tourism. The new agreements are designed to expand tourist exchange and create additional travel opportunities between the countries.

It is expected that relevant organizations of the two states will jointly develop recreation and health improvement programs and expand available tourist destinations for trade union members.
